What the Constitution Means to Me

By Heidi Schreck
Rauh Theater

This script spends a large part of the time discussing the development of the Constitution from the past to the present and its influence on Heidi- the main character. So I want her to use the red strings during the show to show how the Constitution connects to her life. My first impression of this play is complex, diverse, and enormous. I design two pillars, and two bar screens on the wall. Audiences’ view will be divided into several parts, and as the show goes on, the pillars can move around, and the two bar screens can also display different lighting and videos to show different topics. Besides, to make my design more specific and detailed enough. I  set this legion hall in an abandoned shabby basement with no windows because the script made me feel despair.
